Having the constructed-in solar panel to high off the battery charge is a great feature when away from different energy sources. Even when bugs aren't unhealthy it really works effectively as a battery-powered source of illumination. It would be really nice to have this bug zapper and studying gentle after a hurricane! We plan to use it on our porch with not-so-perfect screening and while sitting outdoors within the night. Like a 60's "black gentle" it makes some issues glow at nighttime which is type of enjoyable! The directions are good and the switches to turn on the studying light and set the lighting level and for the zapper are easy to make use of. It has an LED that indicates when it is charging and absolutely-charged. We haven't left it out in the rain to check the water-resistance. It makes a loud pop when a bug meets its finish. The high-voltage wires are very nicely protected but Judy did get a jolt whereas she was carrying it trying to find mosquitos with the zapper on. She thinks it arced to the keys in her pants pocket so it might be able to work on bugs by static discharge just like the shock you get when touching a door knob in winter. It is vitally highly effective! Best not to carry it round with the zapper turned on!
